Have tried to research this item but only found the references to lidded beer stein's with handles

Not even sure exactly what to call this… A beer cup?

Any information about this item, background and origins of the manufacturer would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance

This is a wheat beer mug or glass. It is made to serve wheat beer, also known as Weizenbier or Weibier. The tapered design keeps the yeast at the bottom of the glass and the flared top allows for a nice head or foam. Your glass was made by the King Co.

I certainly hope that this helps.
