Recently purchased this chair to try and restore....All I know is that it is a Selig...not sure who the designer was. There are a couple of key components that are missing - which, from what I could gather, allowed the chair to rest in multiple positions....the image pictures are of the chair that I purchased....this link is the only other picture I have been able to find on the net, http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/selig-walnut-lounge-chair-made-denmark-needs....as you can see from the link there was some wooden knobs that worked with the brass grommets on the back of the chair ....what linked them and where I can find these knobs are the question I pose to aficionado's?
I have an old selig catalog that lists that chair as Ib Kofod-Larsen.
My catalog shows adjustable leather straps to control the angle of the chair.
Thank you so much for the information. Could you please scan and send me pictures of the chair? It is missing the straps and wooden rings. I am going to attempt to fabricate replacements. Any detailed pics of how the straps looked and worked would be appreciated!
Haven't forgotten about your request. I hope to bring the catalog to work and scan tomorrow. Can you post your email address so I can send?
