I found this saddle at an estate sale. It had not been used in 25 years. I called Stuben North America and they were unable to look up the serial number due to the age of the saddle. Is there anyone out there that can help me figure out what I've found? Its a beautiful saddle, 16" with a 31 tree.
If I'm not mistaken, this is one their early "all purpose" saddles. I took my first lesson in one just like this. (I refuse to say how long ago that was! LOL!) Taking it's age into consideration, the styles of riding have changed. Of course, saddles made today support these changes, where this saddle does not. But that's not to say it isn't useful! Anyways, if the tree isn't broken and the leather has been well cared for it should have several more years of life left in it! I think this was a great find!! Enjoy!!
