This is in the Washington State original owner's own words... "1960s Hippie Stash Jar from Spencers Gifts...held many stashes in the 1970s. i previously has this listed as a 70s item but some research led back to the late 60s. although i kept it full during high school, it never held held any Mellow Yellow. look up Mellow Yellow on wikipedia...in the late 60s people were smoking banana skins because some musicians started a fake story that you could get high that way. it was a cultural phenomenon and this jar will be a historical token of the era of the Hippie, which ended with the Death of Hippie Parade in 1967. This item will not be marked down and it will cost 30 cents more the next time i list..." Foil sticker stating this mid century novelty was Made in Japan.

I always am amused when they mark it up when it doesn't sell. I watched a really wrecked cash register go from 30 dollars to 500 dollars tat way. If it didn't sell at 30, assuredly it isn't selling at 500!
