I cannot figure out what on earth this is? Any help is very greatly appreciated. My best guess in reasearching is milk glass, custard glass, bone china? But I can't find anything similar. What throwing me is the roses are NOT hand painted it's a print of some sort.
Looks like an attempt to reproduce one of Rosenthal romance patterns.
99% of what people-- even many major collectors-- think is hand-painted, is actually decaled on-- while different from transferware, an 'applique' is still a decal.
Hold it up to the light. If light passes through and it retains a white appearance, it's likely bone china. Custard has a sickly colour too it and milk-glass is swirled.
