In honor of his passing last Wednesday (27 Sep 2017) here's my Playboy Club ashtray. By no means a terribly rare item (fellow member Caperkid recently shared his, and pickrknows has yet another shown here from a few yrs ago) mine is only unique in that it has been broken in half and superglued back together, after an unfortunate 'kitty incident' involving the edge of a flat surface a couple years ago. The actual crack isn't too visible afterward, though the missing corner (apparently impact point with the metal floor lamp base it landed on) and its resulting sharp edges are now unavoidable.

I'd had it a few more yrs before the kitty event, having acquired it while helping clean out a storage room of stuff belonging to an Uncle-in-law. It is entirely likely that *he* obtained it directly "from the source", so to speak...? <LOL>
