An interesting little jar about 6 inches tall. How old and what pattern is this jar? It only cost me $2 so I won't have my feelings hurt if is just junk.

Campbell, Jones & Co. 'Paneled Dewdrop' c1878; the color is called sun-purpled and caused from extended exposed to UV rays from the sun, which reacts with the manganese in the glass to turn it a light purple over time.

and THAT (TallCakes' info) sounds like it makes a big WIN for your $2, to me anyways...?? CONGRATS on the score, flashlarue! :-) <applause>
