Just found this in a wall of my home that I am renovating. We were excited to see it, but do not know much about it. It reads Merry Christmas (original Polish language)

    Unsolved Mystery

With a lightly damp napkin, wipe that mold off. Not too damp, but not too dry. Not too much pressure, but not too light. After letting it dry, maybe frame it after putting a dry napkin behind it to absorb any moisture that might seep out with humidity/temp. changes.
Probably 1910s. Never ceases to amaze me what is found in walls. I wonder if it was done purposely.
