Hi All!
I am having the hardest time finding these type of clasps, yes, it's driving me mad!
I'm sure it is the original chain and clasp for this Sweetheart Pendant / Photo Locket...if that is what it's actually called. I would like to identify it so I can then get the correct date. My guestimate is WWII era on the heart and somehow I remember those clasps from the 60's. Maybe they were on what was very old to me at that time, is most likely the reason I thought 60's. I'm wondering if this necklace could be older than the 40's?
The back of it is the pinstripe detail & inside says "STERLING 1/20th 12K" just like that without the quotes of course. The edge of the clasp also is stamped 12K
Can someone please help me with this dilemma I'm having?

Valentino, And yes my dear friend, I do agree with that, fully in fact. I convinced myself that's when it's from. Didn't take much leaning from one shoulder to the other, if you know what I mean. I must one day stop arguing with myself! lol
I just want to know what these darn clasps are called?!? Eh, it's not going to make or break anything anyway...I just wanted to "appear" like I knew what the heck I was talking about! haha Thanks so much. Oh and while I do have your attention, there is one more of those things we can make it to...will send details!

This type of clasp has been around at least since the 1940s. These people seem to be in the business of making findings in both modern & vintage styles & giving them all the look of having some age on them. Does this help you?

Found it! They are called "snap clasps". I can't even remember where I found it or I would give you all the link. It's pretty thorough. When I find it in my bookmarks, lol that's a joke, I'll link it here. Jeeze, I use this site for bookmarks that are better than the ones I keep on my own pc
