My wife acquired this lamp from her father when he passed away. The materials are a blend of what seems to be a plaster material mixed with fiberglass. This lamp stands approximately seven feet tall and has a collection of 380 strands od crystals that adorn the top of it. It weighs roughly about 100 pounds and has seven lights in the middle of the crystals, with a faceted crystal ball that is just underneath the very top.
Has anyone ever seen this style of lamp before?
I have added two more photos to this. However as suggested I have not been able to find a date on the lamp, nor have I been able to see anything like it on the net.
please help me out here

I have never seen anything like thia=S except in the UPPER OR lower level of either The Paradise or the Marlboro greanD ornate Show place ThretreS in downtown Chicago which were build t around 1900-10--First for stage shows of off-broadway type entertainment=, followed by silent movi=ies and so on, AND LIVE ACTS I think they were razed in about 1960. Some of the artifacts may have been sold. Go to Google and look up the heyday of the Paradise Theatre downtown Chicago, iT WOULD BE SO COOL IF YOU COULD SPOT SOMETHING LIKE YOUR ITEM IN THE PICTURES, yOU COULD DATE IR MAYBE.ooos for thre caps.

Beautiful crystal design on top . I wish you had a close up photo of her face as it seems it may have been repainted at one time . Lovely piece . You can add 4 photo's of different angles with post .
There was one of these almost exact ones on this site not long ago. Prisms exact, the dress another version of Rebecca At The Well. I try to keep track as I study these lamps as I do all lamps. This one looks like that GAUDY blue is not original to the lamp, may have been repainted as his was gold which was somewhat different, very pleasing. Your gold looks like the new dull gold paint which is totally wrong. He gave me a date of 1947, said brought back from overseas, and said it was dated, and it really CONFUSED me as I did not think it was before 1966. In fact I was pretty sure.
Turned out I was right and his DID have a date on it as 1967 and when he emailed me we found out his was marked. His also was marked Continental Art which I had studied before, and I knew more of their pottery as the 50's styling so this looks like NONE of their earlier work from the 50's. You could see hundreds on GOGGLE images under CONTINENTAL ART POTTERY.
During the period of later 1966 and 1967 the Met Museum was doing a show of metal statues of the 19th century and all of a sudden there was a craze for lamps again and some of these statues were made but mostly in Italy again in plaster, and also in metal. There were a lot of businesses being set up in the second half of the sixties and the import and export of these new plaster lamps was HUGE.
However I have not seen it myself so I am TRUSTING him when he says his was marked Continental because of all their lamps this was the only one of this style that purported was marked Continental. I HAVE SEEN hundreds of continental's work and this was the only one of two thatI see of this style. But yet his is marked so he says and so I should take his word, I do not think he sent me a photo of his signature however so I remain a bit leery. Yours is unmarked you say and the signature should be directly behind her near bottom with an impressed mark if there is a signature. I have seen many of these lamps however so many are not marked or at least not checked by the authors of those pics I have seen.
The ones I have seen from Italy came with a base such as yours has and that is exactly what the Italians were doing during this period. They made bases and pedestals exactly like yours. However the confusion because of his posting which he says is marked Continental which was a U.S company, and when he first posted it he said it was brought over from overseas after the war in 47 (He meant 1967) which confused me more. I gave him more info yet he could not change that on his page as he may have not have known how to. I hope you are not confused as I am about this rant of words. Continental is not verified however and he said his was brought back overseas after the war which does not make sense as these were not generally marked AT ALL and not by Continental. So it may have been made in Italy like all the others I have seen. It is BEST to always see the signature yourself I find as there is more false info on the internet on antiques than anywhere I find !~

Similar design I do agree. But the size of the lamps is way different. The one shown is sitting on a table, the lamp I have is around seven feet tall
I think the one shown was quoted as large. His room is large with about a 10 foot ceiling. A seven foot tall would fit on a counter.
Gentlemen, you are correct about this lamp being repainted, we received it in this repainted condition. I did however remove all of the crystals and their hardware cleaned and put all new rings on them because they were very corroded. After you suggesting that there might be a stamp or date somewhere in the rear of the statue I went home and re-examined the entire piece only to find nothing.
