Hi, I've just brought this to repair/ restore for my daughter!

Does anyone know a little history on these cars and know if you can buy any parts?
I need a steering wheel and one front light! I've seen ladder for sale so that's not a problem!
It's a smart looking little car and hopefully I can get it into shape and get some use out of it again!

It's a reproduction. Limited Edition, and the screws attest to a reproduction; everyone always gets the screws wrong.

Hello and Yes I saw this one recently on e-Bay UK.
As for age try 2000 on. I have six or more of these Model 'A' Roadsters & Utility's that can be viewed if you scroll back and search my 'handle' graumm.
There should be 'GOLDEN WHEEL' on the wheel centre caps and on the speedo on dashboard.
On the top front of the radiator below rad cap there is a plastic oval badge with the word 'Classic'
The limited Edition plate will have a number saying of 2999.
I think most of these were marketed by 'syoT'
I have 3 Limited Edition Cars in my collection but I am still looking for a tidy Limited Fire Truck.
You can find these marketed in the States and else where by 'Kalee' and 'Dexton'
and I have purchased some 'Kalee' cars from a shop in Glasgow via e-Bay recently.
Some where back in this listing there is a Blue Roadster in Austraila and a Green Utillity in Canada.
I have also seen some other labels on these cars when following the link from 'CW' to e-Bay 'USA'
There are parts avalable in the States if you search hard enough but not the gold lacquered Golden Wheel parts.
If you do a google search try '1922 ford model T roadster.
As some online toy shops still list them.
And one more thing, I have now listed about 30 different versions and 3 body types.
This may not help but will give you a bit of background to what you have.

Hi thanks for your comments. Yes this was from eBay and although it wasn't mint I fear it was in better condition in the advert than what turned up to me. You have got to love courier drivers for wrecking stuff. This one is number one hundred and something. As I guess it has little value I will do my best to keep it as original as I can but I fear I won't find many parts in a hurry. If I can find a light for the front then I could make the rest look ok. I need a steering wheel, headlight and hub cab. The front end steering is loose, is this normal or should it all be a little tighter. I brought it for my daughter to use when she gets older, I was looking at triang but kept missing the cheaper ones.

Hi again, google Baghera Pedal Cars in France, They do Mail Order and take PayPal.
They will have a flat Steering Wheel that could be adapted and Ladders and a Bell.
Floppy steering, This tends to be caused by bad driving and nasty children riding on the Bonnet/Hood.
Are you good with tools or do you just tinker in the shed, All you can do is make sure all the steering parts behind the wheels are square to each other and the front wheels are square to the ground.
If you scroll back through my listings to the Blue Roadster, This had no wheel caps when I got it so I modified Caravan wheel hub grease caps and I have used one or two of these on other Roadsters.
Headlights, Back to e-Bay and search Classic Cycle Headlights and you should be able to get some from China for around £3 each but you may have to wait a month for them ??
I used these Headlights on the Boat tail Roadster I made and they look the part.
If you were near me I would say bring it over and I will help you if needed.
      Graumm.

That's brilliant help thanks. Il add all those bits to all the other things I need to search. I'm handy on the tools as it's my day job so hopefully I can make the steering better as I don't want it rattling to pieces. What voltage do the lights run at? I will strip it down when I get chance and try to get a paint colour that will match and see if my local graphics company can copy some of the stickers!! Do these have any value or are they purely a pleasing little modern version?

Hi Yes some of you still have that Cross to bare I gave it up early over 10 Years ago after 30 Years in Heavy Goods.
The Steering, I put a hollow sleeve in the King Pin to stop the yokes from closing after every thing was true.
The original lights had a a battery box behind the left hand pedal with 2 'D' size Battery's.
The Classic Cycle Lights are self contained with 3 AA Battery's in each.
      Value ??
Last year a very tidy Golden Wheel Limited Edition Fire Truck on e-Bay went for over £500 but that's the highest I have ever seen one reach.
I watched the bidding on this and someone was desperate to get it ?
My 2 Limited Edition Roadster's I paid £250 each for a year ago and the KALEE one's I bought from a shop in Glasgow on e-Bay were selling for £100 to £120
each needless to say they went quick.

Repro yes. Cute yes. Desirable yes. Parts easily available for it no. Creativity required to repair it yes. I love it!

I do a mix of heavy and vans with a few cars for good measure. Was fun when I was young now it's a body breaking way to earn a living!!

Well I suppose it's one of those things, il probably spend as much fixing it as it's ever going to be worth. It doesn't matter though, we sat my daughter in it as it is yesterday and she loved it!

Can you buy the tyres for them from anywhere? They are perished and trying to split off the rims!
    10. graumm, 7 years ago
      graumm calling rattletrap,
Yes with a Repro you are not destroying something that's getting rare.
At least Golden Wheel, Dexton & Kalee along with Great Gizmo & Baghera are still readily available and reasonably priced unless you get an absolute Numbskull that think's it's Vintage but then you can see that in the pricing but it also appears in these pages with the words "Is it rare & what's it Worth"
Most of you will have seen my Posts and some of my creations and don't worry there will be more to come but I am doing some building work indoors under supervision ?? and at my age it Hurts!!
It's nice to get the Good Comments when I do Post another.

Hi and just a quick late addition.
Just been doing a quick Google for Pedal Car parts.
There's a lot out there it just takes some looking.
These Cars are sometimes listed as
      1922 Ford Model 'T' Roadster.

Hi, still working on this, had a few other thing to take care of and sort out.
Can you buy just tyres for these or do you have to buy complete wheels?
All I can find is wheels or really expensive Austin tyres that are too big any way.
    13. graumm, 6 years ago
Hello again, Tyres ?? Yes it's complete wheels from the States, Or
I have seen tyres remade from reinforced rubber hose joined with super glue some where within these posts.
Just a thought, Maybe Baghera 10 inch Wheels and gently remove the tyres to replace yours, Not having looked at the compatibility I am just guessing ??
