I received this from a family member, no history or idea what I have and if it has any value. Trying to decide if it's worth repairs

It looks to be an Eastlake settee. It appears to be original and would date from the late 19th century (about 1870- 90s).
These usually came in a set with chairs.
This style is not in vogue now, but I would think they will come back. I think it is worthy of saving, but I am STILL a fan of 19th century furniture.

Scott,
Thank you for the info - I had NO idea what it was, wow 1800's! - Now I know why I liked it so much!!
Cheers

Glad to help out. You may want to add a better photo.
A photo of the front of the piece showing the entire settee, may attract more attention to your posting.

Oh, do have this repaired! It might be my own personal fondness for this type of furniture speaking, but this really is too nice a piece (and in too good condition overall!) to let it go to waste.
I've been told repairs could cost 300. Is it worth doing the repairs?
