This sign came off the wall inside a small 1960's-era auditorium building that used to exist on a local hospital campus, shortly before the building was actually razed 25rs or so ago now. It was mounted over a small door to a built-in 'phone booth' in the lobby. Stylized to match the other interior woodwork in the building, it is in a simple wooden (maple) frame, measuring roughly 17" long by 6" high. The sign panel within the frame is actually made of glass with the TELEPHONE wording and background painted (I guess?) on its backside -- the glass is fixed into the wooden frame with glazier's points similar to a windowpane.
