    WELL IN THE EARLY 1950'S MY UNCLE AND GRANDPA WERE DIGGING A WATER MAIN CLOSE TO THE MISSISIPPI RIVER IN ST. LOUIS, MO. AND FOUND THE CANNON IN THE GROUND THE CANNON HAS SAT SINCE THEN WITH NO INFO ON HOW OLD OR THE ORIGIN, NAVAL, CIVAL WAR, STEAMBOAT ? THERE HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS OF SHIPWRECKS THRU THE YEARS. SINCE I HAVE GOT THE CANNON FROM MY GRANDPA I HAVE CONTACTED A FEW COMPANIES/APPRAISERS AND THEY HAVE NO INPUT. SO IF ANYONE KNOWS ANYONE WHO COULD AID IN IDENTIFYING THE CANNON. I CAN GIVE EXACT DIMENSIONS IF NEEDED AND MORE DETAILED INFO. THANKS. NATHAN
