I have this handpainted set of China. But it has different marks on it. Some have made in Germany, some have made in Austria , But half of them have the Haviland ,France mark . It is really tough giving a thorough description with only four pictures. I believe this that was created in the late 1800s and if you look you will see that some of them have a signature right and the dish. I have only been collecting China for a couple months now and I really don’t know a lot about antiques. So I can really use all the help and suggestions feedback I can get . I live in a rural area and don’t know any antique collectors. So the Internet is my only resource. Thanks again.

C T Germany is Carl Tielsch, that mark dating to about 1890-1900ish. Likely stenciled in America by Mrs. Crane, who must have acquired imported blanks from some China shop.
Country of origin becomes mandatory for American imports in 1891, so your pieces are likely 1890s.

SPIRITBEAR is correct. These are not from a commercial set. They are hand painted pieces on blanks from three original sources. Elinor or Elenor was a talented China Painter. Are you in Australia ???

Hi, Why have you not carried on with your earlier post about this/these sets. Now we seem to have two distinctly different collections.

Isn't it possible to separate the two different sets? Just need to see the back of each, and perhaps a couple of pieces from each?

Looks like the first post has been deleted. The one in which SpiritBear said all the pieces had decals on them. Spirit: they weren't stencilled either.

I spent a lot of time on the original post, and did a lot of research for you.

I don’t think the first post was deleted. I have a set of 28 pieces of china painted by the same artist . Most have the Haviland stamp, some say Elite L France, one shows an eagle with CT under the eagle. I apologize if this has caused any confusion. I believe these are authentic , I was hoping to get a second opinion.
