I received over 30 pierces of this dinnerware and unsure of the company that made them. I do know for a fact they are my great great grand parents, they have been well kept in storage. All the plates and cups have the marking of " USA ", the saucers do not habe this marking. The other set of dinnerware with them is dated 1891 to 1897. The other set is " kent Alfred Meakin " . So i do have guide line to work from, but im still unclear to the age , origin and maker. Can someone give me suggestions on the items in hand.

Alfred Meakin was an English pottery operating out of Tunstall , Staffordshire from about 1875.If your pieces
are simply marked "Alfred Meakin" they pre-date 1891.
After that date they would usually be marked "Alfred Meakin Ltd"with the addition of the word "England".
"Kent" is most likely the name of the pattern.
      I hope this helps.

Mr or Ms Vivid , you comment about the pottery i posted. I only used alfred meakin as another set of dinner wear that was given to me with the the set in the pictures. I still have no knowledge of the dinnerware in the pictures, and or age or origin. Needing help.

I have the exact same dinnerware that was my Grandmothers' handed down to my mother then to me. I use it on special occasions even though not all of the pieces are there we make do.
She bought it in the mid 50's at the local "five and dime" store in Alton Illinois, it was not sold in a set but as each piece. I don't know the name of it but it is pretty and when I look at it I think of my Grandmother.

I have this same set and I believe it is the Mount Clemens "Mildred" pattern. It is on Replacements . com listed as that.
