I picked this up at an estate sale. All rhinestones are intact. It’s quite heavy, the frame is metal, it’s in almost perfect condition, and heavy in weight. No mark. It has a simple cup safety closure. Any ideas of the who, what, where? It almost looks custom made...?????
Thank you! I added a photograph of the back. It’s a simple cup style catch; not a rollover clasp, which leads me to believe this might well be an old piece, earlier than mid-century. ???
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is a resin/plastic piece and not a real cameo at all. You can buy 12 or her for under 5.00. Here are a few examples:

Thank you, Gillian. I suspected the girl to be a resin of sorts. It’s that frame in particular that she’s in that fascinates me, including its sturdiness and weight. Thanks again for your help!
Hi Ken, I do agree with you - I think I misunderstood by focusing on the actual image, rather than the frame that Virginia was interested in. It really gets to me though that this same 'cameo' is sold as Victorian, Antique, Vintage etc. etc. by so many places, with prices as high as $50.
Thanks for helping out with this piece. It’s so hard to pinpoint st least the decade it’s from. I thought the frame style would give a clue, but no. 1950s? 1980s? 2000s? Who knows? Nonetheless, it’s so unique that it will at least be a conversation starter at parties or other such special events ????
