    Amsterdam Tijdens de Hongerwinter
    /Amsterdam's Hunger Winter
by : The Underground Camera Group

De Ondergedoken camera Group ( the Underground Camera Group) made these images at risk during the winter of 1944-45 , each understanding that Amsterdam's "first task was to bear witness"

Published in 1947,this is a first edition, 128 pp, 140 gravure reproductions.
Much of the book is shot in a style -not exactly formalist, but in a mode where the important factor was to get a picture in any way!

This collection of photos shows "man's inhumanity to man"

What a great book. I have some antique books in my collection, but mainly relate to antique furniture.
