I found this interesting jug in a charity shop today. It's very thick milk glass, with sharp edges. It has some black specks and some cracks, that look like they may have happened in manufacture, and the inside has some grey smudges that won't wash off. Can anyone tell me how old, or manufacture?

I think your piece could have been made by either McKee or Kempel Glass. I’m not 100% certain though. I have collected milk glass for several years, but I mostly collect glass manufacturers that I’m familiar with. I do think McKee or Kempel is a good starting place for you to research. I hope this helps.

Thank you very much Time Traveller, I will start looking at those names. I assume they are American? I am more familiar with English glass works!

Yes, they were American glass manufacturers.
