I have just purchased a few old paintings and have found these wonderful boats, the sails and buildings are a very bright gold that stands out and shimmers, they look very old and the backs have been covered in old writing paper to cover where the old backing has come off.i think they are Japanese but am not sure.

    34 cm x 19

If anyone could help me find out where they might be from or what this type of painting they are called I would very much appreciate any help.

    Thank you in advance

      Hi there mp.Kunst
Thank you very much I had wondered if they were painted on board as I knew it was not paper, but have never seen or heard of reverse glass painting it must be tricky to do.

      Regards

      Suzie
