Does anyone know what year or manufacture? I purchased this beautiful wardrobe, that’s in great condition, last week. Not sure the age or time period but wonder if stripping it will devalue it. Someone poured a thick gloss top coat & it needs to be taken back to original stain.
Not quite an antique yet-- looks to date from the 2nd quarter, 20th century.
You won't do anything to the value by putting it back into original condition. There are a lot of these out there, but they seem to be fairly popular.

Thanks for the reply. I agree it seems to fit in from 1920’s to possibly 1940’s. I have never seen a wardrobe one quite like this one with three drawers on top. I hope some one can help identify who the maker might be.
I have one I refinished that is similar with 3 drawers on top, original seal says it’s a 1908 PA Furniture Company Chifferobe…..mine was is very poor shape but the sub floor and back board was all I had to replace, sold for $750 refinished
