    Had this knife for years....I think its some sort of old hunting knife but it has no designs so not sure of origin.. the sheath is wooden, tied with some hemp material...

      Hello: Does the handle appear to be made from animal horn? Can you post a better picture of the end of the handle? From what i see in your not so good photo, the first thing that comes to mind is a fillipino bolo type knife.

      Hello LG: I was hoping to see animal horn for the handle, but not sure from the pics.My only advice, would be to google fillipino negrito bolo knife, as that was what stuck in my mind first. I have seen similar knives found in N.C., and i always thought it was because of all the troops at Fort Bragg, coming and going to all parts of the world. Just my guess tho, and maybe another CW member can help you more. Good Luck!

      LG. I recommend you replace pic.#1, and or pic. #3 with your original knife post photo. Let #2, and #4 remain.

      Thanks for your help....the more I look at those particular knives the more I concur with you.....My wife is Filipino ....gonna get her grandmother to look at it and see if it rings a bell with her.....again, thanks a lot...Lloyd
