This unusual little tie clip came from an estate sale a few years ago, so sadly I don't know any of its particular history. (though I bet it *has* one...it would be SO much fun to find out?!)
Made of polished brass and copper, this tie clip consists of a tiny-scaled length of copper plumbing pipe with 'operable' 2pc female brass compression fittings on each end, suspended from the brass clip itself by slender brass chains. Both the pipe and the clip are a little over 2" in actual length and the chains are about 1-1/2" long. There are no maker's marks on it that I've found.
Based on my memory of the other items at the sale with it, I could guess it might date from the 1950's-60's.
