Hi everyone! I got this picture from my friends antique shop. She knows nothing of it. But it looks very old to me. I would guess it's a print. I just love the picture. It has the old poured glass. And original frame. The back is wooden and don't look like it's ever been removed. Anyone know anything about prints like these? I'll get better pictures. It was hard with everything reflecting in the glass. Thanks for looking! Also not sure what category to put this in thanks

You'd have to open it up. Most info is usually on bottom right or left near the corners. If it has small finishing nails holding it in, it has a good chance of having not been reframed in the last 60 years. You begin seeing other things holding the backing on in the 1950s. Frame style is meaningless for dating things. The "old style" frames are still made today, as very good reproductions even. Sometimes frame construction helps date it, but my mom just purchased several frames, cut and finished and assembled by hand, brand new. So even then, don't rely on style.
With wooden backs, I've seen those used in items framed into the 1950s. Some are held on by wooden biscuits (I think that's the term), which was another way beyond the screws.
Open it up and gently pull it out, taking care as sometimes the image adheres to the glass.

I found the same one on eBay. A lil bit better shape. But mine was a better price. Also I found out hot to tell old glass from new glass. If you use a light and look down the side of the frame. It yellow if old. And green if new.
