Happy Halloween everyone! In Ireland, (the birthplace of Halloween) there's a tradition of eating a fruit cake on Halloween night known as a 'Barm Brack' from the Gaelic 'bairín breac' It's really nothing special as a recipe, but what makes it different is the ring always hidden and baked into the cake. Traditionally the one who finds the ring in their slice of cake is supposed to be the next one to marry. The cake this ring was found in is shop bought- all barm bracks made in factories here have cheap rings inserted in them here! So by chance I found this one. :P
It's a cheap ring but we can use it as a key-ring afterwards!
Happy Halloween! Slàinte mhath, Lauren :-D
Thanks kyratango- Happy 'Oiche Samhain' to you too!
