    This tool was found among my fathers old tools. I believe it is some sort of lacing, knitting, weaving or wiring tool but have not been able to find anything similar.
    Metal hand tool. 6.62 inch long with eye opening on both ends. One end pointed and other blunt. Pointed end has adjustable wire stop with four settings approximately 1/8 inch apart.

      It appears to be a simple rug hooking needle.

      I believe UncleRon has solved it! I should have known what it was because there were several hooked rugs done by my Mother in our house. These were done in the late 1940's and replicated patches from my father's Army uniform. Thank you UncleRon.
