When I spotted this on a top shelf I thought it was a bowl but to my surprise it's was an ashtray.

The color's are amazing and is what caught my eye.

    3 1/2 tall
and over 7" across she's a big one!

    Secret shop find ;)

partial sticker still on bottom which I was careful not to remove when I cleaned. It was so dirty.

    Happy Hunting CW friends.

You have an exquisite piece Of Bitossi. This is part of the “Seta" line, designed for the American luxury market in the 1950s by Aldo Londi for Bitossi. Seta translates to silk in English and these two look like they're wrapped in Thai silk.

You have a very nice find.
I bought a bitossi vase from a lady on a country road who was having a yard sale, how or why she had the bitossi piece blew my mind. She told me she thought it was ugly and sold it to me for a dollar, it was pristine.

I sold it to a shop in NYC, it was later sold to Madonna. I’m not making this up. You might want to contact this guy in NYC, he might be interested in the piece, if you are willing to part with it.

The shop is called...”The End Of History” website showing your design is here.

I agree with you Melanie, the colors are fantastic, but what really caught my eye, is all of the detail in the alternating bands : )
