This crystal(?) glass(?) bowl/dish has been passed down from Jane to Jane in my family for generations. It originally belonged to my Great, Great Grandma Jones's Aunt Jane. From her it went to my great great grandma, Emma Jane Jones. She passed it down to my grandma, Margaret Jane. (My great grandma was not a Jane so she got skipped). My grandma passed it down to her daughter, my aunt, Lydia Jane. And she passed it down to me, Keni Jane. Someday it will go to my daughter, Hazel Jane. If anyone could tell me more about it, I'd be forever grateful. I don't even know a birthdate for my great great grandma, let alone her aunt. I can tell you that my great grandma was born in 1901. Since it belonged to her mother's aunt, I'm guessing it's anywhere from 1850 to 1870? I really have no clue. Someone help!

Imperial Glass #710 (AKA: Frosted Block) c1910-29 (from Imperial Catalog); in one catalog this is called a lily bowl... some speculate the pattern may have been made earlier by another company but no confirmation for that. The pattern was also made without the stippling in the square panes and is called Beaded Block since the panes are clear.

'Aint he great! Super ID again.

That's a a lot of Janes. So impressive not to have any chips, or broken pieces. It's been taken care of for all that time.

Thank you so much, TallCakes! I am usually pretty decent at internet researching, but I have no clue when it comes to glass and didn't even know where to start! I am so excited to share with my grandma (she turns 95 on the 12th) and the others all this information. And Gillian, yes! There are a lot of us. My sister (not a Jane) even went so far as giving both her daughters Jane as a middle name because she didn't want either of them to feel "left out" like she does. It's kinda funny that it's taken so seriously. And the bowl is locked up in my mom's china hutch. Before that, it belonged to my aunt, but lived in my great grandma's china hutch. Apparently, my grandma didn't even get to take it home with her during her stent. So, even though it gets passed down from Jane to Jane, it usually lives with whoever is the most careful. Hilarious! Thank you to everyone for all the love!
