I have had my eye on this vase, in a charity shop, for ages. It was priced at £49.99 though so I left it in the cabinet. However I noticed it had been reduced to £24.99, so I decided to have a proper look, and discovered it had a dink in the side, so decided it was still too much as it was damaged. I went in today, to see it had been taken out of the cabinet and put on a table, but price not changed. I managed to point out that it was damaged (no one had noticed), then the manager said "oh dear I can't sell it, it will leak!" He did agree to sell it to me in the end for £9.99, which I was happy with.
This is a Victorian George Davidson Lions Head pressed glass vase. Some say it's a celery vase. It has the lions head mark on the base.
Such beautiful crystal, and what a bargain
