This box is BEAUTIFULLY made! lots of screws and rose-head nails. can anyone tell me whether the initials are G.M. or C.M. or what? i found it at the Alameda Flea Mkt yesterday. it's small - 14 inches wide by 8.5 inches tall by 7 inches deep. any info appreciated!

Looks like CM to me. Back in the old days you didn't run down to Home Depot and buy a tool box. You made your own and put either your name or initials on it. If you opened it and those weren't your initials, then you became subject to a job related injury.
i'm pretty sure it's a GM. those extra serifs have got to mean something!
