Rare Pineapple Flowerlite jar in Amythest by Viking ca 1958

I have been partial to pineapples over the last few years. I came across this amethyst colored, glass pineapple. It was unusual, assumingly maybe a cookie/candy jar. Many, many months after purchasing it, I finally found the history!

History: This Amethyst Flowerlite jar is a deep Purple color and should not be confused with the “Teaberry” color that was made only in 1962.
Manufacturer: A. L. Randall Company from Chicago, IL sold Viking Glass. Their 1958 Catalog showed pages of Viking's Yesteryear line.Pattern : Bump in a Diamond Shape of the Pineapple
