Transformation of a Bargain Find: Pressed Amber

I found this necklace for $1. I was sure that the beads were pressed amber. I took my chances.

When I got home, I cut the necklace apart and sorted the beads according to their size. Then I looked for a vintage clasp and restrung the beads: the result is an almost perfect vintage pressed amber necklace!

The necklace is not very large; it weights a bit over 40 grams. It makes a perfect addition to my pressed amber necklace collection.
