~ Hi CW Gang ~
Okay this is going to be a little different post as it is a Vintage Persian Lamb Coat /Jacket from around the 1940's era. This is a Family item. It was my Granny's jacket then given to my Mom. She wore it too and it started to show some wear on the sleeves and under the arms. So in the 1980's my Mom took it to a Furrier to get it re-styled into something she could still wear and update the style to the present style. This is What the Furrier came up with the leather Sleeves, and the leather inserts on the sides -- all main place of wear ( as it had been worn lots). It was just kinda a persian lamb A-shaped Coat before, as that was the old style of it.
In the 1980's that was the era of Micheal Jackson influence of the Thriller Jacket....and a Lot of clothing back then kinda had this style to it. Hell, it was the 1980's. Back then I never noticed it as much, but now when I look at it I see that 1980's influence in it.....Totally
Anyways, again a Family item. I have it in my possesion now. I still keep the Black lace Scarf with it that my Mom used to wear with it. The lapel pins are also ones she put on. She passed away in 2001 I keep it as is/was - but under plastic.
**** Is this the First Persian Lamb Jacket to be posted on Collectors Weekly ..... LOL ... I guess so
Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!

I think its WAY-COOL, Rose, and what a FUN 'family connection' history!! <applause> I hope you also still wear it sometimes too, to keep the tradition going strong!
Thanks AO......yes I have worn it, I can still smell my Mom's perfume on it.
I recall all the history on it as my Mom did not want to discard it after it started to wear in certain places.......and paid a pretty price to have this done to it, and saved.
