What a unique piece of history, dating back to the first part of the 20th Century (circa 1900 to 1909). Originally it came with a metal, wire coil attachment for holding paper/notes (but, as is usually the case, the coil is gone). Today, many use it as either a pen rest or paperweight.
Marked on top in raised embossed text is “PATENTED JANUARY 30-1900,” and “JAMES ADAIR SEWICKLEY PA.”
It measures approximately 1-1/2” tall, 4-1/4” long, 2” in depth, and weighs just over 1 pound.
