This is one of a pair of rectangular panels (approx. 12" x 47") made of stained and finished oak, with a sorta simple kinda 'gothic arch' design likely (at least partially) hand-carved as its decoration. It served as one side of the pipe organ console (the part of an organ with the keyboards and controls, where the player sits) in a local church from (probably) the 1940's-50's until about the mid 1990's, when the company I work for replaced it with a new console.
Not being willing to allow such an otherwise pretty old piece of 'furniture' to become dumpster fill, I saved its panels. (including the other nearly identical side, plus the matching 'back' which is roughly 4X as wide) This one now hangs on a short wall in my house (thus the distorted downward looking perspective to a couple of the pics) as 'decor', until I come up with a better use for it and its companions...? ;-) :-)
