Here's something a little different from my usual fare.
This Art Deco glass powder bowl caught my eye in an op shop some years ago. Inititally, I thought I'd found an elusive example of pink Tango glass, but I soon noted that the glass is not coloured pink integrally, rather, the colour has been glazed onto the surface. Nevertheless, still a most charming item.
It measures around 9 cm tall, 10 cm across the lid, & 6.5 cm across the base.
There are two deep maroon lines around the middle of the bowl, & one encircling the picture on the lid, an airbrushed scene of two companionable cats atop a brick wall in the light of a full moon.
Not sure of a maker, but I was thinking it was possibly Czech. I suppose it was once part of a dressing table set. Any thoughts appreciated!
Delightful! Love the love cats.
Many thanks, racer4four! Indeed, those loved - up felines are entirely appropriate on this momentous day! :-)
