It's a Friday night, not going out. I've fed the family and I'm half way through a nice Primitivo and thought this would make a nice 'size comparison' for showing off a recent find...
...Standing at 16.5" which is just shy of 42cm, it pretty much dwarfs most of my other kralik pieces. Acquired from a very nice collector in France who is 'downsizing' his collection. And decided to sell to me rather than put it all up for auction on Ebay - sorry about that guys - not!
Anyway a fabulous light milky green/white spatter base with orange pebbles and vivid yellow and black canes with peleton thrown in and all under a super shiny Iris finish.
This is extraordinary! Not only huge (I gasped), but I have never seen that decor with peleton. Magnificent. Can't wait to see others you acquired...
Hey Wow, thanks for the comment - actually here is another (much smaller) example of the same décor: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/207779-kralik-millefiori-knuckle-bowl
I'm a bit concerned with how we spend our Friday nights...
Great colossal piece! Love the color combo! Now, back to my Sonoma Brut!
Bottoms up Glasstro!!
Now that is BOG !!!
An epic piece of glass with so much going on - spectacular!
That’s a nice decanter - holds six bottles
At least!
Hi Phil... a very Merry Christmas to you and your family..:-)
I love this piece, it really becomes an artist's canvas all on its own !~
