HERE WE HAVE AN OLD GAS PUMP WAS ON THE PROPERTY I BOUGHT SOME 20 YEARS AGO,
IT WAS STILL CONNECTED TO AN UNDERGROUND TANK,
LOOKING ON THE NET, IT SEEMS TO BE FROM AROUND 1914,
BUT ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE APPRECIATED,
IT HAS BEEN UNDER COVER SINCE 1944 WHEN IT WAS INSTALLED ON THE FARM TO SUPPLY GAS FOR FARM MACHINERY, AND OF COURSE THE DUKE OF WESTMINSTERS ROLLS ROYCE,
THE FARM WAS THE HOME FARM FOR THE DUKE OF WESTMINSTERS ESTATE IN WALES,
FROM TALKING TO THE LOCAL FARMER WHO WAS 96 YEARS OLD, HE SAYS HE REMEMBERS THE PUMP STILL BEING IN USE IN THE 1960S,
HE SAID DURING THE WAR YEARS ALL THE LOCALS CAME THERE FOR GAS , AS IT WAS IN SHORT SUPPLY, AND THE OLD DUKE OBVIOUSLY HAD VERY GOOD CONNECTIONS SO WAS NEVER SHORT OF GAS,
BUT THESE ARE THING I WAS TOLD, BUT SOUNDS TRUE,
THE BARN THE PUMP WAS INSIDE WAS DEMOLISHED AROUND THE PUMP , , AND THE PUMP HAS NOW BEEN MOVED TO ANOTHER BARN,
I HOPE ONE DAY TO RESTORE IT TO ITS FORMER GLORY,
IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, CONSIDERING ITS AGE, THE TWO BOTTOM REMOVABE PANELS ARE MISSING AND THERE ARE NO NOZELS OR PIPE WORK,
IT IS PUMPED BY HAND , FROM THE REAR, THEN YOU PULL OUT A KNOP TO LET GRAVITY REALEASE THE GAS,
ANY HELP ESPECIALLY ON ORIGINAL COLOURS WILL BE GOOD,
IT SEEMS TO OF BEEN DARK GREEN, STILL LOTS OF WHAT I ELIEVE IS ORIGINAL PAINT,
SO MAY BE SOME ONE KNOWS FROM THIS WHAT THE ORIGANAL GAS COMPANY WAS,

Nice pump. It looks to be a G&B 66 or 65 approx date of 1920-1926 depending on model number. This was a curb or station blind pump or (pre visible) according to price guide the unrestored value at approx 750.00
