The seller I bought this from says it is 1908, but I don't see a date anywhere. Do You? Is there a good view of clothing or horse and buggy, etc that help us to date it? My eyes are not so good.

I went to the Rose Parade when I was 15. Spent the night there to get a front row view. Horrible experience as there was a cold santa ana blowing and there was nothing to do. Have no memory of the actual parade.

WOW! Not too impressed ? And the parade may have experienced many damages to floats due to Santa Ana! I have only seen the parade on TV. And this photo is before TV. I am not impressed either!
Even the description on the back of the card made me yewn!

I think I would have been more impressed if we would have been prepared. Spending the night out there with the 50 mph gusts with nothing to do left me is a daze by the time the parade started.

Seems like a lot of children had similar experiences--My dad and I were are a White Sox game in the 1940s and my dad was trying to explaine the game. I was distracted by the hot dog man, the peanet man and the people and no interest in the game or what I was seeing on the field!! So this is an outing in reverse--attentive dad and a kid who just wanted everything the venders had for sale I remember at the exit he bought me a "monkey" on a stick with colored feathers on his tail. My mom said How was the game? to me and I am sure my wors were--"Look daddy got me a monkey on a stick!!". Poor dad.
