    Good timekeeper. Metal protector was a must. A pure wool foot pad has been applied and the back plate is re-enameled in gold. You can see the footpad clearly in the last rear shot. I've included a shot of it on my shelf among other clocks to give size perspective.

      Thank you Bryan, I know a lot of collectors regard patina as some form of holy grail and that's fine, I just regard it as dirt and tarnish, that hides a much more attractive surface underneath. I'm pleased with the appearance of this clock. It has no chimes and no wood, but it does have character and is a true mantle clock, certainly of the atomic age. Appreciate your comment as always.
