I recently was given this old Trunk from a family member. I was wondering if anyone knew what brand it is or if this is really alligator. It is so cool I just love it.

The alligator pattern is embossed tin, patented in 1885, your trunk was probably made in the late 1880's to late 1890's. without a makers label impossible to say who made the trunk, popular style at the time, made by many makers, most trunks like this had no label, this is a very common trunk with common hardware of the time.

Hi, I just picked one up today that`s identical to yours. On the bottom of the trunk there is still a thick paper label that say`s it is made by the Buffalo Trunk Co. Does the one you have small roller wheels on the bottom? I hope this helps.
