I'm in love with matrix turquoises, besides the more affordable price, I prefer the markings in them to flawless stones.

I've only few modernist pieces in my collection, but I had to catch this one, and for less than 100$ I consider it is a bargain!

From the pics, I knew it wasn't those fake reconstituted turquoises widely encountered now...

But, my knowledge is very limited on the different provenance of these turquoises... perhaps some aware collectors can enlight it for me? American or Asian mines???

The unmarked silver necklace is 44cm long, weights 75 grams!
It was full of grime, and one stone has a crack I secured with glue.

All links are soldered close, mounting is rather well adapted to the freeform cabs.

The construction and placement of the links make it laying comfortably flat on the neck.

Very pleased with my latest buy :-D

Striking! I, too, prefer my turquoise with some matrix & also like greener stones, not those uniform sky blue ones. I'm far from expert, but stones do not look like any of the best known ones from American mines.

As to the fourth photo it wears beautifully in the photo. Unfortunately I know so little about turquoise stones, I gave up trying to obtain a collection !~

Very pretty! Funny for the last two days I have been trying to post a couple pieces of turquoise I have recently purchased...here it comes. And best thing about it was I wanted to ask you about the earrings with the carnillean donut in them. You'll see.

Ms.C, thank you! Turquoises are so appealing in all varieties! Will you share some of your mother's here?

Phil! Thanks my friend! I'm sure you'll manage to set up another nice collection if you begin to buy turquoises :-)

Marga, Manikin, thank you! That was exactly my sentiment when I saw it!!!

Share! Thanks for the link and the wonderful comments and love :-)
I'll have a look to your donuts (oops! lol!).

Someone on another collector's site suggested the turquoises of my necklace come from Ubei area, in China, Yungai (Cloud Mountain) mine.
See there on Durangosilver the page about them:
      https://www.durangosilver.com/chinese-spiderweb-turquoise-cabochons.html
Very similar don't you think so? :-))

Valentino, thank you for reminding me your nice howlite bracelet!
Really same idea in the making, though mine is unmarked silver (had heavy tarnish!).
I thought maybe Scandinavian vintage modernist, but as the turquoises are Chinese, it can be a well made Chinese vintage piece.
Thank you for your comment and love, my friend!

Thanks a lot for loving it, Karen :-)
