While leaving my favorite flea market this afternoon after purchasing a few other fun little prizes, I noticed a couple plastic bins sitting on the floor by the exit, with paper signs taped on saying "free -- no charge". Perhaps not surprisingly there wasn't much of anything in either bin, but this stack of 45rpm records. After confirming with the nice sales lady that the sign was correct, I said "sold" and politely asked for an extra bag...?!! <giggle>
Turns out there's 35pcs in all, looking mostly like a bunch of old Motown/R&B artists and labels from the 1970's or so. (maybe?) Most of 'em even look to be in pretty decent shape though certainly also well used...I'd bet most will play OK with a good cleaning. These should certainly add a little new 'flavor' to my jukebox (which came mostly stocked with 80's rock) and I'm looking fwd to doing a little further research to truly find out what I just got?!! <applause>
