I found this at a flea market a couple years ago. I bought it primarily because it was interesting and the seller had no idea what it was at the time. I have asked around and even taken it to a local auction house, to no avail. Any input would be appreciated. Tool is about 11 inches long, rosewood handle. The screw raises and lowers the one-inch roller.

Hello Ed: You are allowed 4 photos, so could you show us at least 2 more? One of the top, and one of the underside? Is the screw on the side a adjustment stop screw? The roller appears to be tapered, apart from its adjusted angle position, is that correct?
