This pair of red glass vases are from the Fonda/Fultonville Mohawk River valley in upper New York state. I believe they are from around 1884 and were a wedding gift to my great x 3 grandparents. As you can see they are etched and there is left a trace of gold on the front larger leaf pattern. They are 7 1/4 inches tall; 2 1/2 inches at the base, and 3 inches wide at the flared top. They feel delicate and light. The bottom of both vases is indented and after all these year is fragile. It looks like it might leak if water were added. I haven't.
I know nothing about them except what I have just told you. Any information you can provide would be most appreciated. Thanks.
