Several years ago I found a collection of of a dozen old 8X10, circa 1900, photos of the Salt Lake City, Utah area. Most of the photos were easy to identify as famous landmarks however this photo stumped me for a long time. Though it looked like it should be easy to identify because of its unusual design it took me over a year to identify. I will give you a couple of hints, first it was on Temple Square and second it no longer exists. What is it?

This was the chimney on the old heat plant which heated the buildings on Temple Square until a modern unit was put in.
