Ok. This post is continued from the last one since I tried to upload a new photo on the post and it didn't work. I deleted but it wouldn't let me add another one. No big deal.
Manikin, I hope you can see what I added to the earring photo and that it makes sense to you. I also think it was easier for me because I have the earrings in front of me and in the photo on the other post they were slanted so much I can see why you may not have been able to get it!
I added also some other pieces here. The long ones on the left, I made those to match the pendant in the last post. In those are spiny oyster, african beads, turquoise and coral. and I think you see the 3 bracelets, 2 Navajo and one Hopi.
The next pic, another pair I made with the top piece from clip on earrings from the 30's or 40's Zuni, then going down are beads I had but the bear claw I purchased with this design in mind. That bear claw is also from the 30's or 40's and difficult to find.
AND I lost Ms Daisy in the market today for about an hour. How's that for stress?! haha OMG I looked and looked and in the parking lot to look more!!! I was definitely getting close to panic time but I found her!

Thanks nutsy...it is sooo huge! When I first saw it I was totally unaware of it's size! The maker and I have become fast friends by now and so I am trying my best to get used to it, you know what I mean...I may ask her to make it into a pendant for me. I think if I make it into a cuff bracelet, it will cover my arm!!! haha I just held it to my wrist and it would look good going long ways as a cuff but I still think as a pendant it would suit me much better. I will be asking her to do that. I know she'll understand! I sure wish I knew how to be a silversmith! I just know I couldn;t wear all those heavy masks needed to protect the lungs tho but I can still create, right?!? yeppers!

I can't believe this year is almost over!!!
I wonder if these are classic pieces of turqoise stone jewelry like the ones from Arizona? I always wanted to collect Turqoise bracelets new or old and never did start a collection, since I knew nothing about the stone. I used to have a beautiful large belt buckle with an incredibly detailed hand made buffalo or bison, which I bought new in about 1994. I see Bird on the Judge Judy show wears a lot of classic turqoise pieces and bracelets also.
Turquoise is still a hot item. The belt buckles go for quite a bit! There's a wealth of info out there about turquoise and the mines they are from, which ones have been closed etc... I've seen some great videos too of people going after the stones. It looks like it would be great fun. There's a few folks out there that have collected seriously for years and stashed large pieces and they are bringing some out now, cutting them and selling the cabochons and making good money doing so. Smart! The 4 corners area is a great place to go to purchase stones for a decent price. California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada = 4 corners.
