RED BARON HOT WHEELS [Number 6400]
RED BARON Debut Series 1970 HOT WHEELS
The ORIGINAL casting of the RED BARON HOT WHEELS were produced from 1970 to 1977, the RE-TOOLED casting of the RED BARON were produced from 1993 to Present day. The designer of the RED BARON HOT WHEELS model is Howard Rees and the designer of the RED BARON Real car is Tom Daniel.

RED BARON was a car in the 1970 HOT WHEELS series. "Peanuts" cartoon character Snoopy's imaginary battles with the RED BARON, as a matter of fact, I even have a LAURIE RECORDS THE ROYAL GUARDSMEN 45 RPM with the song on side A titled "SNOOPY VS. THE RED BARON" written by Phil Gernhard and Holler. Monogram introduced a model kit of a stylized hot-rod incorporating a WWI German infantry helmet (Pickelhaube) and an Iron Cross motif on the radiator. In 1969, Chuck Miller built a working life-size version of the car, and the HOT WHEELS casting appeared in 1970. The HOT WHEELS version has fenders (UK: mudguards), neither the Monogram kit nor the Real life Miller's car has them. For a short time, Mattel owned Monogram, and the HOT WHEELS "RED BARON" was included as a bonus in some model kit boxes. Back in 1970, there was a very limited release of the RED BARON featuring a white interior. Most of these models possibly ended up worn, chipped, or even destroyed by play wear. Today, only about 10 or less of these infamous RED BARON cars exist in good shape, and, as you can guess, are extremely hard to come by which makes the car the fifth rarest HOT WHEEL to date, with an estimated value of $3,000 or more, and are also only found loose.

I have a Red Baron red line but can’t figure out what year. Did they make them after 1977? This one is in part of the package (insert to box). Can anyone help me with this?
