Very Rare Orange Sherman Necklace circa 1952. I forgot to include pic with earrings. I thought they came with earrings but some of my collection was misplaced when it came out of storage ! Now adding the first photo to show the rather large chunky earrings.
This is a very rare Sherman orange necklace dating earlier in the timeline of the company. The clue here is the Signature in script form in an oval. The later ones from the sixties were in a rectangular shape. >....G

This was from a set and with each piece at 1000 up it was very hard to bid and so I ended up with only the one major piece, a necklace with earrings ! I was quite happy to get this piece as orange is so hard to get, I have only seen this one necklace in orange ever offered in a necklace form, and I am quite sure I may never see one again !!~

Wow, Sherman in orange! It's not a colour I generally associate with top end jewellery, but they have carried it off beautifully. Congratulations Phil!

Yes, when it comes to sherman its mostly greedy sellers. This was a fairly big set and I was rather ashamed to have bid more than the other seller who won the rest of the lots. This auction was on ebay however and was open to U.S. buyers, and always are sold in American dollars for sellers to get the most money.

This has the "wow" feature you don't see very often.I remember Judy Carne who was on laugh in back in the 70's would wear a lot of orange jewelry and looked good in it.

Thank you Valentino, its quite a nice piece, they actually had a rigid cuff bracelet also which was not even in the book. I now know that none of the large set was in the book. I think if I remember I stopped bidding after about 1100 for the cuff.

I think when you see a cuff in this colour Valentino, and you know that someone wants it more than you, you know its one of a kind which I now believe.

The book shows only one nice set of this colour. I bid the most of any piece I ever have on this necklace, but never seen another one like it and this also is not in the book. If I ever sell this it probably will be scooped up quick even at the exhorbitant price I paid.

Thanks Eileen, the seller was not too greedy, it was the competition for the collection of orange that was expensive 1~
