    Hi Everyone,
Victorian Thomas Webb & Sons toothpick holder in Moss Agate decor.
    Approx.7cm high.
I'd not come across this decor before.
Very pretty, one of the nicest I've seen.
Thank you IronLace for the info.

That distinctive shape is by Thomas Webb & Sons, most often seen in Queen's Burmese. I think they did make a Moss Agate decor, so this is a very nice find!

Sorry, also meant to add that is is definitely Victorian, 1880s - 1890s or so. I have two Burmese toothpick holders (that's apparently what it was intended for) this shape.
This decor must be quite uncommon, too.

Hi IronLace. Thank you so much for the info! (I'll update the post:) As soon as you mentioned Queens Burmese I realised I had seen the shape before in that decor. Moss Agate must be fairly rare, I've never come across it before and think I found one other example in my search.

My pleasure, always happy to help, especially with such a select little gem like this. Moss Agate is indeed rare. I have not found any examples in person, only illustrated in books. I do hope to find one of my own someday!

Thank you Vetraio and Jericho, I'd call it deceptively simple :) It's very clever and beautiful, I'm surprised there're not more around. Seasons Greeting to you both.
